The people of Judah celebrate May 15th as a time of restoration as a nation
The Latter Day Saints celebrate May 15th as the date which in 1829 a resurrected being named John restored The Aaronic and Levitical Priesthood on the banks of the Susquehanna River when he said “Upon you my fellow servants in the name of Messaih I confirm the Aaronic and Levitical Priesthood, the gospel of repentance by baptism for the remission of sins which shall never be taken away from the earth until the sons of Levi offer an offering in righteousness”
In the years 1821-1822-1823 On Rosh ha Shannah a resurrected personage by the name of Moroni commanded the boy Joseph Smith to appear before him and give an accounting of his moral character.
On Rosh ha Shannah 1828 at the time the Great Shofar is blown Joseph Smith received from Moroni the Golden Plates from which the Book of Mormon was translated
In 1836 in the days of awe on the Day of Atonement Four resurected being appeared in order at the Kirtland Temple Ohio before many witnesses.
The first being Malachi the 6th century BC Prophet who restored keys.
The the second person being Elias
The third The great Moses who lead our fathers out of Egypt and across the Red Sea.and held the Keys for the gathering of Israel which he bestowed upon the brethren assembled there in 1836
And thus we share a great common heritage. It is worthy of mention that Theodore Hertzle who spoke at the 1897 gathering of the Elders of Zion in Switzerland.stated under the spirit of a prophet that Israel would become a nation within his lifetime or at the latest within 50 years.
Theodore Hertzle also records in his journal that “Last night I had a dream in which the Messiah appeared unto me and said tell my people that I am coming soon” I never did say this to them for I feared that they would mock and it would discredit me.
